Hardware & technology

An overview of which hardware powers which product – including location, DDoS protection and network. No compromises, no hidden differences.

Our data centers

Your servers are housed in two professional data centers in Frankfurt am Main – Europe's most important network hub.

Maincubes Frankfurt am Main

Modern data center with redundant power and cooling – right at the Frankfurt internet exchange.

Firstcolo Frankfurt am Main

Established data center location with redundant connectivity and 24/7 operations in the heart of Frankfurt.

DDoS protection: layer 4 included Every product is protected by layer 4 filtering as standard. Layer 7 protection (HTTP/S, gaming protocols) is available on request for an extra charge – just contact support.

How your server is connected

From the internet to your server: every path runs over the upstream network with 7.4 Tbit/s of external capacity, through the always-on DDoS filter and the redundant core network in Frankfurt am Main.

What the filter drops

  • Volumetric floods (UDP, SYN, ACK)
  • Amplification and reflection (e.g. DNS, NTP, Memcached)
  • Malformed packets, e.g. UDP to TCP ports
  • Suspicious outbound traffic

Click a node to see which products run on it. A second click clears the selection.

Figures of the upstream network AS58212 (dataforest), as of 2026. The mail server deliberately runs separately so email stays reachable during an outage.

Spec sheet per node

What is inside the servers your services run on – read directly from the nodes. How much of it is yours is defined by your plan.
