Dedicated cores · EPYC 7713 / 7763 / 7543

Root servers with dedicated cores

Every vCore is a pinned thread of an AMD EPYC 7713, 7763 or 7543 – never overbooked, never shared. Two lines: C with 2 GB RAM per vCore for compute, R with 4 GB per vCore for databases and containers.

Which line fits you?

Three lines, clearly separated: what you get and what you do not, without small print.

Pico KVM

The low-cost entry

Small projects, test systems, bots, VPN endpoints.

CPU
Shared vCores (1 vCore = 1 CPU thread, shared with other instances)
Virtualisation
Full virtualisation with KVM (Proxmox VE): own kernel, own operating system, own ISO files. No LXC, no OpenVZ, no containers.
Availability
No commitment (best effort)
Minimum term
1, 6 or 12 months, depending on the plan
Traffic
Traffic included. If traffic over the last 24 hours exceeds 1 TB, the server is temporarily limited to 100 Mbit/s.

VPS

Shared cores, full root access

Websites, shops, applications, game servers, development.

CPU
Shared vCores (1 vCore = 1 CPU thread, shared with other instances)
Virtualisation
Full virtualisation with KVM (Proxmox VE): own kernel, own operating system, own ISO files. No LXC, no OpenVZ, no containers.
Availability
99.2 to 99.6 % annual average (committed: 99.2 %)
Minimum term
1, 6, 12 or 24 months
Traffic
Traffic included. If traffic over the last 24 hours exceeds 2 TB, the server is temporarily limited to 200 Mbit/s.

RS Root Server

Dedicated cores

This page

Production services, databases, container platforms.

CPU
Dedicated vCores (1 vCore = 1 pinned thread of an AMD EPYC 7713, 7763 or 7543, never overbooked)
Virtualisation
Full virtualisation with KVM (Proxmox VE): own kernel, own operating system, own ISO files. No LXC, no OpenVZ, no containers.
Availability
99.5 % annual average
Minimum term
1, 6, 12 or 24 months
Traffic
Traffic included. If traffic over the last 24 hours exceeds 3 TB, the server is temporarily limited to 300 Mbit/s.

One node, fixed allocation

RS plans run on reserved threads of the EPYC (7713, 7763 or 7543). What is assigned to you is used by nobody else – not even the shared Pico and VPS servers on the same node.

AMD EPYC

Processor – 7713, 7763 or 7543 (Zen 3) – pinned threads per RS plan, never overbooked

DDR4 ECC

Memory – 768 GB per node, error-correcting; C plans 2 GB, R plans 4 GB per vCore

NVMe RAID 10

Storage – Datacenter NVMe in RAID 10 – local, no network overhead

2× 10 Gbit/s

Network – LACP uplink of the node, up to 5 Gbit/s per server, DDoS protection included

Location

Maincubes & Firstcolo, Frankfurt am Main

DDoS protection

DDoS-Schutz inklusive (Layer 4)

Network

2× 10 Gbit/s LACP, je Server bis 5 Gbit/s

A good fit if you …

… need steady performance

Dedicated threads that only you use – even when others are busy.

… run databases and large applications

Plenty of RAM per core (2 or 4 GB) and fast NVMe in RAID 10.

… want to manage game servers yourself

With root access, your own software and optionally the Ryzen 9 9950X for high clock speeds.

How to get started

  1. Choose a C or R planC with 2 GB, R with 4 GB RAM per vCore. Plus term and operating system.
  2. PayThe server is set up automatically, your login is in the client area.
  3. Get goingRoot via SSH, plus console, snapshots and reinstall in the client area.

Good to know before you order

  • Threads are dedicated and not oversold – that is why a root server costs more than a VPS with the same number of cores.
  • Above 3 TB of traffic within 24 hours the port is limited to 300 Mbit/s.
  • The Ryzen 9 9950X is available at extra cost when high per-core clock speed matters.

Questions about Root server

C or R – which one?
Mostly computing? C is enough. Does your application need lots of memory (databases, Java, caches)? Take R.
What does "not oversold" mean?
We never sell more dedicated threads per node than physically exist. Your performance does not depend on others.
Can I switch from a VPS?
Yes. Write to us and we will help with the move.
