What the Storage Box is and what it is not

Pure storage with many ways in – no server, no database, no website.

What you get

  • Your own box with a fixed size, snapshots count towards it
  • SFTP/SCP, rsync, BorgBackup, restic, FTP/FTPS, WebDAV and SMB
  • Daily snapshots plus your own with one click
  • Sub-accounts with their own folder and password
  • Manage access methods and SSH keys yourself in the client area

What you do not get

  • No server with root access – that is what Storage is for
  • No deduplicated Proxmox backups – that is what Backup is for
  • No second copy in another location – you should keep one as well

  • A Storage Box does not replace a second backup in another location either.

How do I get a deleted file back?
From the snapshot folder of the box, as it was on that day.
